Super Eagles Ranked 44th in FIFA Rankings, 5th in Africa

FIFA has released its latest global rankings for July, placing Nigeria’s Super Eagles in the 44th position worldwide.

The Super Eagles, three-time champions of Africa, garnered 1,484.26 points, maintaining a spot among the top 50 football nations globally.

On the continental stage, Nigeria ranks 5th in Africa, behind Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, and Algeria. Interestingly, Ivory Coast, the current African champions, have fallen to 6th place on the continent.

Completing Africa’s top 10 are Tunisia, Cameroon, Mali, and South Africa.

Nigeria’s Super Eagles will aim to climb higher in the rankings when the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches resume in September. The next FIFA rankings update is expected on September 18.
