FPLI Future Pro League International Set for October Scouting

By Arinzechi Chukwunonso

The Future Pro League International (FPLI) is gearing up for an exciting week of football talent discovery as it hosts its Screening and Scouting Program from Wednesday, October 8th to Saturday, October 11th at the DMAK Pitch, 19 Burundi Street, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja.

The four-day event is expected to attract a diverse mix of registered teams, individual players, and FPLI participants — all eager to showcase their abilities before top local and international scouts.

The program officially begins on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with the initial screening sessions. All registered players will be evaluated based on their technical skills, physical fitness, game intelligence, and tactical awareness.

The screening continues on Thursday, allowing additional participants and latecomers the opportunity to be assessed. By the end of Thursday, a select group of standout players will be chosen to advance to the next phase.

On Friday, the selected players will engage in focused training sessions designed to sharpen their gameplay and teamwork under the supervision of professional coaches and scouts.

The climax of the event comes on Saturday, October 11th, with the Showcase Match, where the best talents will compete in a live game setting before scouts from various international clubs.

Players who impress during the showcase stand a chance to be invited for trials abroad, particularly in Turkey, where they could earn professional contracts after completing all standard assessments and requirements.

This structured process reflects FPLI’s ongoing commitment to discovering, developing, and promoting young African footballers, giving them a credible pathway to global football opportunities.

Beyond competition, the program represents a platform for growth and exposure — nurturing raw talent into professional excellence. The Future Pro League International continues to champion youth empowerment through sport, creating bridges between local passion and international possibility.

This October, DMAK Pitch in Wuse Zone 5, Abuja, will become the stage where dreams take shape, and the next generation of football stars begin their professional journey.
